Lincoln GP 2023

The Lincoln GP is my favourite UK race (not that we have a lot to choose from these days). More importantly, It was my little boy Zepp’s first bike race. He loved it so much that he fell asleep halfway through, despite the crowds, cowbells, commentary speakers and riders flying past over cobbles.

Last year, I rode the recon with WIV Sungod, and quite frankly, I wish I was racing it myself. It’s a fast, punchy parcours with a brilliant atmosphere.

Here is a photo journal of our day cheering from the roadside.

Zepp’s first race, meeting Anouska while cheering everyone up the Michaelgate climb.

Zepp had the best seat in town.

Proud to see our Veloforte sponsored teams and athletes racing.

Feed Zone.

Robyn Clay on her way to take the win — with a clear gap coming up the final lap of Michaelgate.

Zepp was on camera duty.

Second Feed Zone.

Scissors, Khory?

Zepp’s first race. Zepp’s first beer? Josh?

First lap of the mens race, Irish Champion, Rory Townsend setting the pace of the lead group.

It’s hard work just watching.

Third Feed Zone. Two scoops to end the day. See you next year, Lincoln.

G, B & Z.
