I joined Team Sky at the Maindy Flyers Velodrome in Cardiff to film 'Geraint's homecoming', it was immediately clear that G is a HUGE inspiration to the locals and the nation.

Who knows what the next generation will achieve due to the spark that Geraint, Team Sky and our British Cycling stars have lit?

For me, Geraint's 'fall down nine times, stand up ten' attitude is a constant reminder to HTFU. Watching him from the roadside on Alpe d'Huez at this year's Tour was unforgettable. 

The Tour of Britain is going to be crazy, has everyone got their Geraint mask?
